Completed as a short design investigation task for a theory elective, we were tasked with reworking the AGNSW using collaging methods of an array of existing case studies (as noted below). The final design, although completely infeasible, sparks a light on how a natural atmosphere - combined with an individual’s path - can create a space of wonder and enlightenment.

'Shifting Adroitness' seeks to hypothesise a catalytic change to our shared public spaces to support the route out of a world hounded by a global pandemic. It aims to set a baseline for future times in which this infrastructure can reinforce the mental wellbeing of its occupants as well as keep them physically safe. The individual will be positioned at the forefront to allow for emancipation from limitations.

Overarching yet confined entrances will lead occupants into the hollowed structure to vistas of light and space to attain a sense of the natural world. Light will beam down from the openings above to dance shadows upon the undulating terrain. Bookshelves of a curved natural cascading topography will lead the individual on a journey of discovery and contemplation. After which, humble enclaves for respite will litter the landscape in pockets closed off to others to allow for times of solace and self-reflection to occur. When all is done for the day, the individual can choose to exit from a vast array of voids in the surrounding monolithic structure.‍
