Completed as part of my university course, this project allowed me to delve further into using Archicad in a professional manner for the development of a theoretical alteration and addition project. Quayside Street house introduced a variety of challenges in forms of design but most notably in the stages of design documentation. Areas of major concern and work include the staircase system and residential wet areas. Drawing up an existing structure based off of real estate spatial plans into a digital Revit work environment allowed for a creative renovation to take place. Following ABCB's Building Construction Code ensured the final deliverable was feasible.

The project itself was housed off an old, run-down, terrace house that was in dire need of work. A theoretical client with needs and limitations was dreamed up in the core beginning stages to ensure the project followed convention wisdom. The conversion from a two bedroom to a three bedroom, the introduction of a new staircase system, the updating of wet areas and the opening up of the space to natural light sources all required work to overcome issues and create something wanted.
